About Me
Hi, my name is Katey! I spend too much time trying to perfect my baking skills while watching my favorite comfort shows (That 70’s Show, Bob’s Burgers) on repeat. When I’m not doing that, I’m either playing The Sims or going to metal concerts with my husband. I also have a golden retriever named Samson and a tuxedo cat named Loki, who are both incredibly spoiled and I have just accepted it at this point.
I specialize in working with young girls ages 8-18, who struggle with all elements of perfectionism, from anxiety to self-esteem issues. As a recovering perfectionist myself, I know the toll it can take on one's mental health, making it crucial to find the right help. I use games, art, and traditional talk therapy as ways to help your child overcome their struggles. My goal is for your child to learn to be comfortable with themselves and to learn how to navigate the challenges life throws at them.
I graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University with my Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling and I am a Nationally Certified Counselor. I have three years of experience doing therapy with children ranging in ages 8-18, but discovered my speciality to be preteens. If you’re ready to receive help for your child, please reach out. I hope to hear from you soon!
